On June 15, 2010 West Park Cultural Center received the Crimson and Gold Award from Microsoft and School of the Future in recognition of the Center's support of the vision and mission of the school.  Since the school opened in 2006 West Park Cultural has been providing the school and community afterschool arts programs, adult development classes, artist residencies during the school day and the annual West Park Arts Fest.
