Founded in February 2001, WPCOC is a nonprofit 501 (c)3 organization that until August 2007 was located at 4950 Parkside Avenue.  Today the center operates programs from the award winning High School of the Future (SOTF) at 4021 Parkside Avenue.  This move is a giant step forward by immediately increasing the organization's capacity to serve the community.    

WPCOC was founded to serve all ages in the community, with a special focus on children and  youth.  WPCOC offers children and youth throughout the community afterschool programs (YAP), adult development programs, and public programs and events at the School of the Future.   Our Camp Ginkgo/Ginkgo Academy (for ages 5-15) is offered in partnership with the Fairmount Park Horticulture Center, which serves as the venue for the program.
